Joan Rivers

A tribute to a true dog lover, style icon, and philantropist. Joan Rivers, born Joan Alexandra Molinsky on June 8, 1933, passed September 4, 2014 at the age of 81. Ms. Rivers was more than just a stand up comedian, actress, producer, writer,  and television hostess, she was an ardent animal lover who gave much to charities. Despite her reputation for being a tough-talking, acid mouth comedian, there was a softer side to Ms. Rivers.
Generous to the core, throughout her life, Ms. Rivers supported a number of charities, including God's Love We Deliver, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Guide Dogs for the Blind. She has also donated time to Wounded Warriors and the National Osteoporosis Foundation. Having touched many lives she will be missed. Thank you Ms. Rivers for all the joy and laughter you brought to my family.

My human has had this photo hanging in her sewing room for years.
I think she also credits me with saving her life.
